SIT ASTRIDE CARRIAGE
Each carriage seats up to 5 adults or 10 children. Construction consists of welded, steel channel frames with wood framed bodywork. End and side panels are Formica laminate bonded to WPBP plywood Seats are foam covered in waterproof rexine. Our steel bogies allow these 2895mm long coaches to negotiate 6096mm radius curves with ease (subject to correct coupling arrangement). Overall width is 520mm with a seat height of 432mm from rail level. Each carriage weighs approximately 130kgs.
Steel Sitastride Coach
Sit astride coach The Cromar White sit astride coach is available in any size up to three metres long and is fitted as standard with compensated bogies. The body is folded from a sheet of zinc coated rust-less steel and is shaped with two heights of foot rest, the lower having a 40mm lip to stop passengers feet from protruding. It is available in four standard colours, blue, red, green and yellow, many other colours schemes are available. The standard coach has a minimum radius of 10ft.
SPECIAL CARRIAGE
Our new carriage has been designed to seat two persons in seats and a removable bench seat , with the bench seat removed the coach will accommodate a wheelchair, or a pushchair. With either side folded down into the ramp position will allow easy wheelchair access from platform height.
